ST 170 questions

Got a ST 170. Can anyone comment on the steering feel. Mine has little self centering and feels very vague at the straight ahead position. Its just passed its MOT and all the bushes look in good nick. The tyres are Pirelli p zero nero and are not worn evenly although I think they have been fitted very recently. The grip seems ok and the brakes pull up nice and straight. Power steering is topped up and tyre pressures are ok.
Also do they have a quick rack or just a standard Focus one with the turning circle limited because of the bigger wheels.

Feeling vague in the straight ahead position is a common issue when the racks wear
St170 rack is specific

sounds to me like the castor angle is wrong with the steering... it should feel nice and positive.

Take it to a decent car garage that knows how to use their alignment machine and can help you fix it.

The focus isn't hugely adjustable though, so it might not be 'easily' fixed.
