Hi All
Have been offered a T reg Cougar been off road for at least 5 years engine only done 57 thousand miles starts and runs I am told. Needs new brakes all round and tyres from what I could see with a quick look full leather inside what do I need to look out for with these cars V6 by the way.. Need to decide tomorrow.

Brakes should be cheap enough as same as Mondeo.
The tyre size is pretty much unique in UK. 215/50R16. I used to get strange looks in tyre places as they didn't think there was such a tyre. Were very expensive years back but then Kumho started selling tyres in that size for about £70 each.
Engine - there is a little box of gears with an electric motor under the plastic cover on the front bank of cylinders. When you pass about 3,300 rpm this actuates the secondary injectors and gives a load of extra power. Sometimes can seize a bit. CLean and lubricate with graphite usually does the trick.
Actually very nice car to drive.
