Ford Escort Mk1 4door stock engines?

Hi guys,
I have just purchased an Escort MK1 4door and am going to restore it from scratch. It's current engine is a stock 1.1L and I would like to change it for a bigger one. I have been searching all over the web but I cannot find any reliable sources. What engines did the 4 door versions come with from factory? When I was still a teen I had a 1300GT so I would like to put a 1.3L or 1.6L engine in it but I do not know if these engines came with 4door versions as well.
