Doesn't matter how much discount a person can get, because somebody will always say they can get more.
Hey my local Ford dealer paid me £2 grand to take a brand new ST3 off their hands cause it was just cluttering up the forecourt. laugh

I was attempting to be funny. smile
That is an amazing discount on a new ST3 so well done, but I'm sure the majority of car buying public would get nowhere near that....with 4 grand being much more realistic.

Hey at least you never said you "brought" one. wink Sorry....just me attempting to be funny again. biggrin

An interesting point...
When I tried Drive The Deal back in June I was only getting around 2 grand off a mildly spec'd ST3 via Stoneacre Ford in York.
This didn't include the £1500 deposit allowance available at the time, but I'm assuming your figure includes the current £1425 allowance.

Apologies for the crystal-ball question, but what's the thoughts on these holding their money? I want one, but have another car coming so might look at one in a years time - just wondered what they will be like on the used market - availability and price like? Also - any idea on how long Ford will produce them?? smile

That's the only thing that puts me off an RS. Do I have better things to spend the £7k difference on... I suppose the only thing that matters if I sell is depreciation though and the RS will probably fare pretty well there.

All comes down to the car you want in my opinion, RS will be harcore, ST3 more for cruising and daily duties.. ST3 is cheap to buy in to but will no doubt be murdered on residuals (compared to RS)..

I think the new RS will follow a similar pattern as the Mk2... holding around 60- 70% of its value after 3 years..

Popped into the dealer yesterday who stated he had 6-7 firm deposits and was not worried about delivery dates slipping past Spring next year despite rumours of late 2016 and even early 2017 !

I looked at a couple of the colour swatches and thought the magnetic ( metallic gun metal grey ) looked nice but difficult to tell with such a small item. The stealth looked like the same colour as what Porsche call "Agate" grey and I knew I had seen the Blue colour somewhere but could not put my finger on it , and then it came to me ......

Volvo Polestar !

White is OK. Where are the lairy colours ??

My view is that depreciation will be very low for the first year on the Focus RS and also the Mustang as I dont think you will get much of a discount if any.

Paid a deposit for an RS on Saturday, I'd go with white or blue I think, plus everything except the sunroof!

I also went to the BMW dealer to look at an i3 too...

It will be a company car, the RS will cost me about £140 in BIK tax, but the i3 only £40.. that's a lot of money! frown

Placed my order for one last Monday, think it is going to be quite popular.

Anyone who orders one of these NEEDS to order the Recaro shell front seats!

Can you explain why they are worth £1145 over the standard seats please?

Which options did you spec?

Price list came out in Luxembourg last week, base price is €37k incl. VAT. I'm rather tempted, but I do love my Fiesta ST.

When they're at least a grand new each direct from Recaro, I'd say it's a bargain

They need to be worth at least £1145 more than the standard Recaro seats to make it a bargain.
The standard seats may well be more comfortable over longer distances though.
I was hoping to hear the reason why they "NEED" to be ordered as was stated?
