Had one email from random pistonheader, and one call from a dealer (I think)....... genuinely surprised, however I think it will be a different story once this initial batch has gone.

Unless you have a spare set in shed cheaper just to get the new ones painted.
Probably not, I pay £10 per wheel for removing and refitting of tyres and the Powder Coaters I use will do the wheels for £30/wheel in any colour I want. The only decent people I know locally that paint wheels want £40-£50 a wheel. It will take a day longer though and having a brand new FRS up on axle stands for 24 hours may be a bit frustrating

Evening chaps, I think I have had a result with the sale of the car, and the house, and the Mrs
Hello,
Many thanks for your mail
I am a first time buyer hoping to buy a vehicle in your country, and the style of yours particularly appeals to me. I wish to express my keen interest for buying your vehicle. I want to find somewhere that could be my home for many years. I have sent you this letter because I particularly like your country. I have my finances in place and could proceed with buying a vehicle immediately. As I have contacted you directly we could avoid paying estate agent’s fees. If you are considering selling your vehicle then please reserve it for me, I will meet you early next month in your country to conclude the deal. Beside buying your vehicle, it is also my wish to invest in real estate sector in your country. Perhaps, you can help me achieve this objective?? I will consider houses in any condition as long as there are no major structural problems.
I am writing you from Iran. I plan to relocate to your country due to the systematic life threatening, state-sponsored oppression we continue to face as a response to our political dispositions or affiliations or lack thereof following the 2009 political uprising in Iran, which claimed so many lives including that of my spouse, who was a successful businessman before his untimely death in the hands of the government. Before his death, he was an established contractor in the oil sector, majoring in Marine Engineering and Fabrication for the Oil and Gas Sector. Expectedly, he left behind some reasonable amount of money, which i wish to invest mainly in the real estate sector in your country if possible. The entire amount at my disposal is a little less than seven million Dollars. The sanctions against Iran which is a near-total financial and trade embargo imposed by the United Nations Security Council and the United States have made it nearly impossible to transfer money from here to other parts of the world. For this reason, I am have sent you this letter with the hope that you could help me get this money into your country for investment purposes.
Regards,
Zahra Vahedibelverdi.

This is what I'm talking about (from EVO 8th April):
"The bumpier, and much rougher, roads in the UK provide a challenge for the Focus; it’s about as stiff as you’d want a car to be. It can, occasionally over very bad roads, feel a bit bouncy as sharp bumps jolt the car upwards, particularly at the rear. Also, rougher pieces of tarmac can agitate the chassis, which can result in a loss of traction from the rear axle."
What the hell is the point of marketing the car as a daily driver (toned-down image, etc.) and fitting it with 2 suspension modes when even the more 'comfortable' of the two gets comments such as this?? The other mode is unusable other than on a track. Far, far better IMO to have two modes which can be used on the road with one being genuinely comfortable. CTR equally guilty of this. I am put off.

If you don't like somewhat firm suspension then don't buy a sporty car. I have actually driven the car and the ride felt absolutely fine, certainly nothing like the old FN2 and not far off my S60R in sports mode (not advanced which I imagine is jiggly as per this cars track mode.
Deposit paid, I'm in.

I haven't driven one, I'll confess, but the Evo quote does not fill me with confidence. And a sporty car does NOT have to have a rock hard ride - it just doesn't. My Noble is extremely compliant and would runs rings around most things. I'm glad you say it's more comfortable than an FN2 but then so is having your man grapes removed with a tyre iron.Deposit paid, I'm in.

You need to read this weeks autocar, I have not got it in front of me but I don't recall anything like harsh or unstable ride being quoted, if anything it was the exact opposite and the car being heralded as the best thing on welsh mountain roads since sliced bread.
I'll read it. I really want it to be true as I would buy one.As I've already said, it did feel a bit fidgety when I was in the passenger seat, but, I didn't notice it when I was driving!
It does need to be noted that, all the reviews so far involve the car being hacked everywhere, and I'd say there is no doubt the car is extremely good at this, but, for me,although I liked lots about the car, it didn't represent a good daily.
The Auto Trader test is quite good, if you haven't seen it. I can see why people might pay 15k more for the A45 AMG, as it's now a serious bit of kit.
At the moment, since my test drive, I've fallen back in love with my WRX STI
