Ok, a friend just took me out for a blast in his new RS. I liked it. The ride is firm but not crashy as I feared. His is grey (non metallic) with the black wheels and looks terrific. More understated than the blue but still special. As for the seating position, ok you sit higher than in an RS megane say but lower than a mk2 RS (or my mk2 ST actually) so I'm not sure why people go on about it. His are the non bucket recaros so perhaps they sit lower than the buckets?? Anyway, quick, responsive, sounded nice and not too uncomfortable; I think I may be tempted.

Ordered mine in March and got told it'd be 11 - 12mths wait from the point of order at that time. I got an email from the dealer on Friday telling me it's still 12mths from now. Grrr.

I also ordered in March and was told around a year but after my visit to the dealer on Friday for a test drive (which was impressive!) his computer screen was showing an estimated build date of August this year which I hope is correct but I'm not convinced

ShifTech commented on FB that the turbo was the restriction on bhp increase. Sounded very good on through-the-gears deive-by though!
