I also ordered in March and was told around a year but after my visit to the dealer on Friday for a test drive (which was impressive!) his computer screen was showing an estimated build date of August this year which I hope is correct but I'm not convinced
It's not. Vista defaults to a set position but isn't able to cope with a delay over a few months basically.

Sorry!

Anyone know when the nav is being upgraded to sync3?

It would be a nice touch if this is added to cars very soon.

I've just opted to extend the warranty to 5 years. £320 seems very reasonable.

No one is definite but the consensus estimate is Q3 based on what was said at the various press events apparently

Hi out there, has any one who has a mk7 Golf r driven the new Focus rs. Wot did you think?
Cheers all
I have a Golf R DSG with a DTUK box on it (370bhp or so) and drove a Focus RS a few weeks back. I think straight line speed the Golf R would pull on it rather easily but through Twisty roads the RS would be the better car. No doubt a simple remap will change the straight line sprint outcome, thinking back to when the R was standard, I'd say the RS would probably have it across the board.

Driving them both back to back, the Interior of the FRS did feel "cheap" and I found the whole car felt narrow and high from inside in comparison, I believe this feeling might be caused by the shell seats. The R felt low and wide after driving the FRS. I have no doubt that the FRS will be seriously impressive with a few mods which is why I pulled my M2 order and went for one smile

I also noted this morning that the price has gone up, when I ordered mine it was £29,995 standard, now showing as £31,000 on the Ford Configurator smile

I think you're right about the buckets as the one I drove with the standard recaros was fine - in fact you sat pretty low with your eye line level with the top of the wheel. Why can't Ford add bucket seats to their cars properly - they were criticised for exactly the same thing 7 years ago for heaven's sake??? I wonder whether the buckets in the mk3 can be adjusted down slightly as they could in the mk2. Anyone know? It was only an inch but it made a difference.

At only 5'9 I have never had a problem with the seats in a Ford being too high despite what many reviewers say. Perhaps they are designed for the average height adult rather than lanky behemoths biggrin

Eye line level? Do you drive lying down or are you a midget? I'm not tall but my eye line was way above the top of the wheel!

Apparently the seats can be adjusted but I'm not sure how. You can also allegedly get lower sub frames but I've not seen them either

You drove with the regular seats? I'm 6-4 but I do have the seat as low as possible and the wheel pretty high to avoid my knees.

Yes I have tried both sets now. Maybe it's down to body shape not just height

Seriously....your eyes were level with the top of the wheel? eek
I have never in my life driven a car where my head wasn't well above the steering wheel. I have a 2015 ST3 and my eye level is well above the steering wheel.
Having said that I have seen people who like to drive with the seat back in an uncomfortable looking reclined position, so maybe this is playing a part.

There were about a dozen RS at the Simply Ford event at Beaulieu last weekend - ALL of them were blue!

I'd be interested to see what the optional forged alloys would look like in a lighter colour.

No, they are not. The standard UK wheels are silver, those are much darker. Go look
