if it was that fantastic it wouldn't be a cost option.
It's not so long ago that ABS was a cost option on certain Ford cars that not many people bothered to specify....now it is standard on the majority of vehicles.
Autonomous braking systems are heading the same way.

Personally I have cancelled the Info upgrade as I no longer need the Satnav...I have instead bought myself a series of 1:25 OS Maps and a compass...me get lost never!

I think he's saying that things progress.

Anyway, Winter Pack can be specced now. Costs a bit more than the Anti collision thing though

What is Winter Pack?
The latest UK RS price list from Ford is dated 1st May but there is no mention of a Winter Pack.

Heated steering wheel for all and heated seats if you go for the ST style ones. Not available for the cs cup seats still even though you can get heated ones from recaro.

I couldn't give a monkeys though as I'd rather have paid the base price of £28940 that I did smile

Isn't the winter pack for US spec cars only?

So its consists of just a heated steering wheel if you have the proper seats? Pointless.

Winter back is now available, I work at a Ford Store so can confirm this. With standard seats it's heated seats and steering wheel, with Shell Seats it's just heated wheel.

Ford need to confirm this with an updated price list, although the current one is only 27 days old.
The standard Recaros are not heated like they are in an ST3. Heated steering wheel is just a gimmick as far as I'm concerned and I would never pay extra to have it.
How much does this Winter pack cost?
Ford have IMO very much skimped on the standard spec with the RS because it is poorly equipped compared to an ST3.
It's all about the engine and drivetrain, and Ford know people will buy it based purely on this so make optional extras of the things you would expect to be standard on a car in this price bracket.

If you ring your dealer he will be able to tell you but it's £300 for the seats and wheel

Think steering wheel is £90 but I don't have the CS seats so don't know

There's a new price list for June coming soon and it's listed on there.

Heated steering wheels are BRILLIANT IMO, so nice on a cold morning.

You may think they've skimmed on spec but the fact is the order book's full, we've sold nearly 100, so Ford are making hay while the sunshines and I don't blame them. Ultimately if people aren't happy with the spec they can go and buy something else, Ford will still easily sell out.

I'm not sure where you mean by "it's listed on there", but it's only the May price list that's currently listed on Ford UK site.

I don't only think Ford have skimped on the spec....it is a matter of fact that they have to keep the basic price down.
Of course it will sell very well, because like I said the Focus RS is all about the engine and drivetrain and the way it handles.
Your reply seems to suggest that you think I am running the RS down, and if that's the case you have misunderstood what I said. smile

Thanks for that. smile
Curious why heated steering wheel is only available as a stand alone option when the RS Shell seats have been specified. I cant think of a logical reason why this should be the case. confused
Heated steering wheel is available on certain other Focus models without heated front seats.
Ford baffles me sometimes with their choices of standard and optional features.

I'm on days...and wondering when to go to hours!!

275 days or 6600 hours!
