[quote=Ron240]hey need to be worth at least £1145 more than the standard Recaro seats to make it a bargain.
The standard seats may well be more comfortable over longer distances though.
I was hoping to hear the reason why they "NEED" to be ordered as was stated?

I have specced them with my RS order, as have most people on the RS forum.
I dont want an RS with ST seats, plus I dont find the ST seats comfortable anyway.

WOW....calm down there R8FUN, I heard you the first time. laugh
I do take your point about the ST seats....and what appears to be ST2 seats at that! The RS will share many other parts with other Focus models though.
All I would personally spec is the Luxury Pack to get the things that should be standard on a 30 grand car anyway.

I get the feeling that its sold way way more than expected.....

We've ordered 54 so far. Most seem to be the nitrous blue and have most options ticked

If you look at the latest video Ford have put out with the RS test driver and Ken Blockhead throwing a test mule round Lommel, they are moving all over the place in the ST style seat as it's not gripping them laterally at all.

With all the hype about it being torque vectored in the corners and being able to pull 1g+ in the corners, the CS seat makes more sense as you won't move like the ST style seat.

As an aside: There's a poll on FocusRSOC as to the type of seat you've ordered. ST style Recaro = 58 votes, CS Shell = 105 votes.

Looking forward to getting mine next Spring. ish.

CS seats also have the ability to fit harnesses properly through the shoulder holes.

Got told by my local Ford dealer that I could order now, but it won't come till march...and it will be left hand drive.

That might be because the first batch has already been allocated to Ford stores / owners (me included). Second batch is rumoured to be September 2016 ish.

That is nuts, why order one that is LHD just to get it in March. Order one now, get it Q3 2016. Or take your chance with stock or ex demo cars when they land. Personally I would just place e new order for a RHD car ASAP

UK orders placed prior to 08/10 number approx 2200

The lease on my wife's dreary Nissan Qashqai is up in June 2017. I'm guessing it shouldn't be any bother getting an RS for that date if I enquire shortly?

Also, just read that the US-spec cars are going to have 350bhp and 350lb/ft opposed to the Euro-spec 345bhp and 346lb/ft. How odd.

I didn't really plan to but we put down a refundable deposit for a second phase car, the dealer suggested a December 2016 delivery which is pretty crazy but ties in with when my leased BMW goes back.

It's going to be a very long wait furious
