These cars are happily sold in hotter climates without issue. Don't believe everything someone tells you, especially a car salesman.

Test drove one today, impressed with handling and turn in however dissapointed with the performance.
Car had done around 600miles.
Do they get quicker after a few more miles?

Yes, they loosen up significantly with more miles from my own experience with one.

I heard somewhere (maybe on here) that they may be boost limited for the first few hundred miles and loosen up significantly after that.

I've done about 9000 miles in my RS and it's definitely feeling quicker now.

I thought the same. It felt slow compared to my remapped R.

My R was reeled in by an M240i the other day as well so I'm kind of regretting my decision to pull my M2 deposit for the FRS boxedin

Hopefully when it's done a few miles and had the 375 kit it will be better.

The mountune 375 kit does not appear on their website and I can't find details for who fits it? Any links?

The FPM375 isn't actually available for fitting as yet, but when it is, you'll be able to get it through any Mountune approved Ford dealer. Our local one is TC Harrison http://www.tch.co.uk/news/focus-rs-mountune-upgrad...

Ah OK. I can't find it as it's not out yet. Next question does anyone know which ford dealers do mountune pgrades near West London/Slough/high Wycombe? The mountune website just lists every ford dealer.

It is, a friend had it fitted yesterday at Mountune HQ...

My FPM375 was fitted at the beginning of September at Mountune HQ.

Mountune HQ is about the only place you can have it done. MT are notoriously slow at sending new kits out to dealers.

My local Pro dealer told me last week that the delay is down to getting the Mountune specific air filter elements from K&N. Presumably those that do arrive are being installed at HQ as a preference to sending out to the dealers. Just a guess.

Separate note, I managed to get a test drive while my MR230 was in for a service and I was very, very impressed. Much more solid that I expected in the cabin, shell seats not too high at all imho (for me, 6'2"), engine noise under load in the cabin was superb. Quiet in the cabin otherwise which is also nice. Traction unbelievable, truly. Launch control took my breathe away. The harsh ride people talk about, I've got to say it felt much more comfortable than the media have had me believe it would. I left with a massive grin on my face (according to the sales and service team at Ford anyway!) and now cannot wait until mine arrives - what a car. Just superb.

Just been offered one at list a cancelled order at 34,400 in blue

Wondering to take a punt for 6 months. Are resduals still strong?

Those are ones with 2500-5000miles on them. Not totally depreciation proof.

Still, not exactly bad for a hot hatch. I bought with the expectation it would follow a similar curve to the old car, and if it does, I'll be more than happy. I find it frankly crazy that they're going for £36k

I agree they probably have the strongest residuals of anything around at that price point.

Had the Mountune FPM375 kit fitted yesterday and the drove a couple of hundred miles to the coast and back. Highly recommended!

In normal mode it's 'almost' the same as sport was. Sport is now Sport+.

Doesn't seem any worse of fuel and with the Mountune sound suppression chamber fitted, only slightly louder under load. Sounds stock cruising.
