As you may know, assembly for the RS is completed off the production line by a small team. They have now trained up more people for that team so there are now 140 RS being built a day whereas it was around 40 before. Makes a significant dent in waiting lists

Having sampled various H hatches I find myself coming back to the RS.

Weighing up purchase price, running costs, likely depreciation, variety of uses and of course fun it's neck and neck with a new discounted M140 presently .
Only issue with 140 is the lack of winter ability

Just booking a test drive now. One thing that does appeal outside of the car itself is the potential residuals, they look like being very good compared to any competitor.

I am a little suprised at comparisons with the M140i as they are quite different cars. I like the outlandish looks of the FRS and not the dull look of the beemer (or Golf R).
