On route into Silverstone



Once in and set up on stand, after a quick catch up it was time to clean the Orion up...

( No pics of our stand, didn't get chance and when I did they were covered in dust so left it... If you did send them over please )

Once cleaned I went over to the Cheshire Rsoc stand to meet up with Frasier and Ridgey...









We then set off for food...
As always we decided to dine in the Silverstone Restaurant rather than risking having our pants pulled down at a random E. coli diner...

5 items plus 2 toast for £5.45



Once fed we started off around the concours / mag feature area
( Why some of the cars on concours were there I don't know? maybe the owners were blind, some truly shocking paintwork and panel shapes! )

Keep meaning to make a Ford Fair. Passed through the A5 and Towcester at the weekend and saw lots of cars... sadly,not thing missing was an Orion!

I need better tyres , bigger brakes & more power , but that being said I did have a smile on my face red lining round Silverstone.



Also glad to see I wasn't the only one who'd brought an Aussie Ford along , found these 2 BA Falcon Ute's an XR6 (silver) & an XR8 both auto's.

Nice pics and some really nice cars there. The escort in the first photo is my brothers work mates, it was bought a couple of years ago and was rotten. It was all welded/repaired by the blokes dad and resprayed and then they put an s2000 engine in it. Not the most powerful mk1 out there but it's meant to be reasonably quick. They were going to the Nurburgring the same weekend as Ford Fair but ended up going to Silverstone instead.
