What's the general consensus on changing the calipers on a Ceramic grey Vantage from black to yellow ?

Trying to find examples pics but can't so if anyone has any of a ceramic with yellow then please share.

Agreed. I want to chance my grey callipers on my green V12V to yellow, but the other half is having none of it.

Chris.

Here's the whole car. They work well with black I think. Not seen yellow on any other colour Aston?

I have changed my original black calipers to yellow and was quite hesitant to do so originally but after doing them on a friends RS4, I really liked the look.

I think the yellow calipers need to go with a neutral colour car, black/silver/grey as in my opinion, they would clash with most other colours. Green cars would be very difficult to choose a colour for, but I think orange would look good.

Whatever anyone else thinks though, it's your car, and a caliper colour change is not exactly difficult to change if you dont like it.

I've seen yellow on a Cobalt Blue Vantage which personally I think looks superb.

I would say it would work well with the Ceramic Grey as it has a lovely depth to it and the yellow would make a very good contrast.

8tech I think the yellow works well on the Alloro Green N430 Vantage but as you say it is all personal taste.

A mate of mine painted his calipers yellow.
Looks fantastic!

I know it is a 911 but the colour is somewhere near ceramic, not as good obviously as it is Porsche, but does give a reasonable idea.

When you say painted, I assume you don't mean he got the old Hammerite and a brush out one Sunday morning jester

It's my car and had the calipers professionally stripped and painted along with re stencilling the Aston Martin lettering by Brake Caliper Specialists in Nottingham
They were black previously and didn't stand out against the black wheels and discs. I love the yellow colour. So go for it.

Hey Chris. hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did that cost? Thinking of doing the same on my 599 (I know, I've strayed into the wrong forum, but I do love Astons, too!). Thanks.

Easy - change the driver's side to yellow and keep the passenger side as grey!

You're welcome wink
