Mk1 with RS kit sounds interesting too.

The Mk1 is back up & running smile Had to fit a whole water pump as after removing just the front (easy!) I could see that a pressed bit of steel in the back part was flapping around! That was a bh job & one I hope I don't have to do again soon....

& if Ford heritage don't want it then I'll be keeping it, I can't wait for it to be become a classic old Ford! When cars are this age it usually attracts the dreamers who think it worth no more than one that has done 100k miles. That's fine by me smile
I have a similar sort of pseudo-problem with my 2005 Mustang GT with 14000 on the clock, garaged all its life and little to no rain.
It's effectively almost a new car.
However, buyers don't often see it that way, they only see the year of registration.
I suppose that is why I've only ever toyed with selling it and one day, it will probably go up in value ... but it takes quite a while. I still think of 90s cars as being quite new and that is a corollary of modern cars tending to last a lot longer than cars did in the 70s and 80s.

Yeah good points. Ford heritage have no budget to buy cars, they rely on donations (they seem to have some really tidy cars so I'm guessing those must have been Ford press cars!!). I'm not feeling too flush at the moment so I'll be keeping it. When the Mk1 dies it will be getting used as it should be smile
