KA value

seen a second hand car dealer selling a KA with service history on a 57 plate about 60k miles, a couple of sctatches, looks clean inside, they want £1695 for it.....

What should i be wanting to pay for it?
What should i be looking for in regards to issues?
it is one of the last old shape Ka's (the dealer told me)

That price is probably about right but you have got to look for rust everywhere and I mean everywhere. Sills, doors, petrol cap etc etc

Agreed. Kas are handy wee cars, but they are VERY prone to rust. Definitely look carefully under the car with a torch, and look for bubbling paint all over - and as SteBrown91 says, the area around the petrol filler is particularly susceptible. I've seen a Ka with a new MOT that had dangerous rust patches - the garage that MOT'd it claimed they didn't see it due to the ramp blocking their view!
