Mondeo bonnet lock

I cant open my bonnet. Key in the badge does nothing,just turns??
Is there any secret way to open the bonnet,or is it a tin opener job.

54 plate Mondeo diesel.

My only experience with these locks (using not fixing) is on the Focus but if the mechanisms are the same then this guide may help.

Sorry for the late reply, but I've only just seen the post.
A mk3 stuck bonnet us a common issue.

You will need to enlarge the hole where you put get key so that you can get to the security bolts either side of the key lock. The enlarged hole won't show once the Ford badge is in its usual position.

Do a net search for: Ford wiki mondeo mk3
Once at that wiki page look up the stuck bonnet fix
