Morning folks

Not your usual post here, but I'm looking for all the information I can get my hands on for the Mk1 Focus RS as I'm looking to model it for the simulation Assetto Corsa, and obviously I hope to be as accurate as possible.

I'll list some info I'm looking for below, but obviously I'm not expecting to find the answers to everything, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

  • Steering Ratio (or max steering angle inside/outside, as I already have 2,9 turns lock to lock)
  • Actual torque curve at the wheel (not at the crack, transmission loss)
  • ARB rates
  • ABS pump frequency
  • Actual weight (if anyone has put it on the scales)
  • Differential settings (power/coast)
  • Turbo Info (anything at all, max boost, rpm it starts to spool, any sort of electronic control (so ramping down etc))
  • Unsprung weight (long shot, I know)
  • Any Technical drawings, CAD, or suspension geometry info (might want measurements if this can't be found...)
  • Spring Rates front/rear (or wheel rates)
  • Motion ratio front/rear (not needed for wheel rates)
  • Weight distribution (I have 63% just now)
  • Tyre Pressure factory recommendations

Also, I haven't actually started this project fully yet, but here are a couple of pics of some of my other projects (Transit and Anglia), to show what to expect later down the line smile

Hopefully I can find answers, and if so it should help provide a more accurate digital representation of the Mk1 RS which many can enjoy!

Just spotted some great posts by Max_Torque and AER during their time developing the RS in some exotic locations... amazing stuff.

Wondering if either of them can recall or have access to any of the less known info during his time (I'm thinking turbo controllers, maybe suspension geometry and wheelrates?)

I think Clayton who owns / runs the Mk1 Focus RS Owners Club may be able to help with some of what you're after smile

You should be able to contact him via the owners club forum smile - http://mk1focusrsoc.com/forum

Seems to be the general consensus, hopefully he'll get in touch. Not sure I can justify the £15 to get on that forum considering I'm not expecting to need any long term help given I don't actually own a Focus RS (as much as I'd love to!).

Hmm, last time I checked I thought you could still register for free (by not selecting the Membership option) - unless they've changed it confused

You could use the Contact Us page as it should send an email direct smile

Been working on the model in the evenings for just over a week now - thought I should post some pics in case anyone is interested (full progress album linked above) :nice:

Very early days still, but its at least recognisable now.

Cheers!

Exterior is almost done now, just got to do the light textures and any asymmetric stuff (just the fuel filler cap I think) to do now and then move onto the interior!
