Puma for the weekend

Had a 21 plate Ford puma hire car at the weekend, put nearly 300 miles on it.
It was the 155 ST line X
Good -
Ecoboost engine, plenty of poke (need to be careful as it’s easy to red line in lower gears but thankfully has a built in protection)
Drivers dash display - good options, easy to read, digital speedometer
Cruise control - easy to set up
Poor -
Interior space, a bit cramped, Ford haven’t done a lot to disguise it’s a Fiesta on stilts with a body kit
Stereo, not as nice to use as other manufacturer, a faff to search DAB stations
Fuel economy, averaged 33mpg in the real world test
Driving position, your not quite upright, not quite low down like a car, sort of in between which just makes it frustrating
Seat support, I had back pain after 1 hour of driving, lower back support in seats was lacking
Suspension, passengers complained about every speed hump and pot hole, you can feel the vibrations through the car
Summary - I fully understand why Ford push this model and why it’s meant to be Fords most profitable model, but for the money they command I can’t help conclude it’s a half hearted attempt and expensive.
The eco boost 155 is a hoot and I have no doubt will make up for many of the shortcomings but this is not a car to own, it’s got no USP and isn’t particularly good at anything.
When I compare it to a 23 plate Nissan Juke I rented before Christmas, I would buy the Juke every time despite the Ford having the perkier engine.
