Where do you think prices for a ST/2/3 will be by mid next year? Have seen a few at £12-£13k recently. Whats the chance of a "good" 10K version??

Facelift must come into consideration??

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but I would say the FRS is even more car for that kind of money (well 11/12). (Not kicking off the RS/ST argument again)

there are some good deals to be had- i picked mine up for a great price considering the spec.

would imagine that by mid next year any with around 30-50k on them will be able to be bought for 10k.

A heck of a lot of car for the money it must be said- I love mine!

an st with leather, next year and 20000 miles and in a good colour and 3 doors will always be very desireable and will 100% be worth minimum of £13000 any reg. the lower specced models could well be available at around the £10000 mark with lots of miles and generally uncared for in horrible colours. the st is much better specced and better all round than an st170 with a meagre 2.0 usually with no recaros and which sold in greater numbers and on 53 reg will still cost around £7000 even now. the st is better than the rs as any magazine will tell you too.(not starting that debate again, just going by every magazine feature ever written and the fact ive had both). for £12 or 13 grand theres nothing better (except one with leather).

Actually, I believe the ST3 seems to struggle a bit in terms of residual values and I would guess fetches little more (if anything)than an ST2. Lots of people don't like the fact that the leather means only 4 seats and a CD stereo which doesn't play MP3s (up until 07 model changes IIRC).
Shame actually as I would have preferred cow myself but couldn't justify the add cost (and wanted that MP3 capability).

As for a £10k ST - given the trade must be around £13-£13.5k (£14k maybe if you're buying something that ain't selling) for a 56 plate at the moment, I could easily see an 06 plate with average miles being under £10k trade next year. For anywhere in the £11-£13k range retail (depending on where you buy) that's a lot of car yes

I've been looking, trade rather than private as thinking of upgrading from an ST170.

The cheapest I've seen is £11.9, it had 3 owners was a basic ST and 40k, it was scruffy.

Seems anything tidy, low miles nice colour & spec is £13-£14k

Prices should start to tumble as Archers are doing new cars for £15k at the moment.

I saw that one, but personally didnt feel that it was very good value. We would be putting decent mileage on the car this year (Nurburgring 24hrs/Le Mans 24hrs) at least. So it would be getting difficult to shift later on.

If your buying retail or private the £10k ST is 18 months away at least.

Dont be tempted by a scruffy one , false economy.

I have seen a few ST2's in classifieds for £12k. Anyone seen any better value than this? Looking to purchase in the next 2/3 weeks hopefully.

the ST's seem (to me anyway) to be holding their value very well, certainly compared to other Focus models. I thought Ford had too much stock (is that correct?), plus the facelift model would have bought the prices down but it does not seem that way, perhaps in another 6/12 months...?

There is a nice ST2 in the classifieds for £12k ish, but its been in a smash. Need to find one before heading to the Nurburgring 24hrs in May.
