Is that an adapter to plug into standard head unit?

I think so, it plugs in where a CD multichanger would go.

I think I am going to go for it.

I am currently using a Belkin radio transmitter with my MP3 player but it has some sort of sound detection which turns of the transmitter if it thinks the MP3 player is off, thus it turns it self off on some quiet tracks. Most annoying

Don't all mondeo's have an MP3 connector in the glove box? Mine has a 3.5mm jack.

Swine, biglaugh

You made me rush out to check (I don't have one) in the rain.

I get back check your profile to see Mondeo is more or less brand new.

Mine is a Y plate.

I got the very same one (VFOX001) from here: http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?par...

And it works beautifully on my girlfriend's Puma.

I haven't tried yet, but assume it would also work on my Mondeo with the same Ford 6000 stereo.

Alternatively you could pay approx double the price for one of these: http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?par...
which is pretty much the same thing, except it only fits an IPod, which it also charges and it allows you to control track/playlist UP/DOWN from the head unit.

I prefer the basic one as you can plug it into any 3.5mm jack

Finally got round to fitting the MP3 adapter, turns out to be dead easy.

Sound quality is much better than it was on the radio link
