ST200 EGR Valve?
Discussion
Does anyone have any experience of blanking this off on the ST200 or any other Mondeo V6 (or any car for that matter)?
I've read that it improves the shocking fuel consumption and drive low in the revs so have been thinking about doing it (mainly for the fuel consumption). Is this right, are there any other advantages and will it still pass the MOT without it? Any comments greatly appreciated.
Cheers in advance, Darren.

I wouldn't bother (actually, I haven't).
The EGR only allows exhaust gas in to the inlet at low manifold (inlet) pressure, so when you've opened the taps it does nothing anyway. Ergo, I doubt it will changeyour MPG to any degree.
A lighter right foot is the on;ly way to improve MPG in my experience,or do longer runs.
On motorways I get 32/34 at cruising speed, and round town as little as 23/25.
