SportKa Clunking noise!!!
Discussion
First off, how do all newbie here, me and my other half have recently purchased a lovely little SportKa, im more of a jap fan myself but we needed something between us....
so the problem is that it seems to have a clunking noise when hitting bumps and kerbs etc and also a sort of scoaring sound from one side when turned hard, with a little help from young Ian a mate of mine we seem to have narrowed it down to the steering rack but not entirely sure what part.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Righty.......
The clunking noise is due to a top mount on the Macpherson struts, i had an advisor on mine at my recent MOT and i had them changed, at £35 notes a peice + £40 labour, the whining is probably a power assit steering pump, get the fluid changed straight away, its a costly item, (£850 fitted) if faulty and a known problem on Ford Ka. Hope this helps,
