Just been having a quick look in the classifieds/AutoTrader for Mrs.NCoT - they're so cheap!

3-3.5k seems to net you a 51 plate 1.7 Lux with 50k miles on it in decent nick with SH!

Does that seem about right?

Have they had there cambelt changed? If not a 51-plate would be 2-years over-due and can be a £300 job from Ford. I paid £3,750 for mine last year with 47k miles from a dealer with a 6-month warranty. It did need a couple of things doing like brakes and cambelt though.

No idea about cambelt, not mentioned in ads. I can't see many private sellers being happy when told by the buyers that their car is overdue a belt change (I think the manual states 10 years/100k miles, revised schedule is 5 years 80k miles, so most late cars will be due the change...)

When was the change to the service schedule made?

Possibly not but then again you wouldn't be happy if you bought it and the cambelt snapped. Not sure when the change was you might find more information over on pumapeople.com

NCT - hold out for one with full spec, worth trying to find one of the special editions (Black or Thunder) as they've got leather too, as well as the options / Lux spec kit.

Unless they've got HFS and AC, don't bother as it's a buyer's market for them at the moment.

If you can stomach the garish yellow paint then the Millenium has half leather. There's one in Starling Motors just north of Stevenage for £3.8k IIRC.

Thought the Millenium was Recaro full leather, not part.

She definitely won't go for the yellow wink She likes Melina blue at the moment but that's only on cars before 99 iirc, so that nice metallic green is winning the battle currently. We already have 2 other black cars and she doesn't like boring silvers/greys or solid colours like red smile

That pretty much leaves green!

Mallard (IIRC?) Green was pretty unpopular, so should help in the pricing hehe

Magnum Grey was restricted to the limited edition Thunder (1000 in that colour).

Moondust silver was always the most popular...

There were two shades of green, although I can't remember the names. One was a darker, British Racing style greem and came on the early cars, the later ones were a lighter jewel green. Both seem to be fairly unpopular.

Jewel green in 97/98, Electric green in 99 (short lived IIRC) and then Pacific green from 2000.

Blimey - are they all pretty similar? I've not noticed a difference!

You could be quite right with that. I just glanced at the picture in passing and thought it looked like half leather.
