Hi all,
Does anyone know of any Fords (in say the last 15 years) that had space savers rather than the full sized spare tyre?

Thanks. What model do you have? Any others?

Loads did. My ST200 does for example.

However, my 97P Escort 1.8Si had a full sized alloy.

Changed over at some point as a cost saver.

2005 Focus has a spacesaver 1.6 TDCi Ghia, as did my 2000 1.8 Zetec.

The other halfs 2000 Fiesta Zetec-S as a full size spare although it's a steelie.

Paul.

p.s. why are you asking smile

All Foci on the C170 platform have space savers (bar the RS)
All Fords on the C1 platform have space savers though it is an optional extra on the ST (IIRC).
Current model Fiestas have space savers.
The Ka more than likely has a space saver.

Thanks everyone, that's very helpful. My race team have just got a new lorry and we need the cars to be a bit smaller to fit them all in! Hence, we thought of changing the usual tyres for space savers! They have to be Ford though to fit the Ginettas. smile

Try some of the Ford specific webistes as well as fleaBay - you'll find lots of people have junked their spacesavers in favour of a full alloy. smile

ETA - also, see if a TVR Griff/Chimaera space saver fits - loads of those lying around collecting dust.

Be aware the Ford space saver will not fit over a 300mm brake disc and caliper.
