Hi,

a daft Qn regarding ST3's, I have been looking (surfing) and found the prices to be all over the place, for example a couple here between 7-8K
(look to be good condition, low mileage)

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/FORD...

and found quite a lot at around 13-14K !

what am I missing ? (apart from a brain! lol)

If the price looks too good to be true, it usually is. Exercise caution when purchasing anything (not just a car) that seems to be too cheap.

Hi, thanks for the reply, so the "going rate/market value" is around 13/14K
& the ones that are around 6K cheaper (a lot of cash!) I need to be wary of..

Just a bit!

Either the price is a false one to get attention and suddenly migrates back up to a normal price when you get there or the cars are so hot you'd burn your backside just sitting in one.

You should expect to seriously struggle to get a straight ST for less than about £10k - even the earliest would have to have 60k+ miles on to get down to that figure.

St's are becoming "cheaper" at the moment due to a few factors...facelift is now out, and some of the early cars are getting close to 3 years old. I know that some of the guys on Focusstoc are trading their current model in for the new one.
6-k ones are just a scam.
13k should get you a good ST3.
