Fiesta (98) key fob (2 buttons (1 arrow and 2 arrows))

I have tried unsuccesfully to program my keyfob! i tried inserting key to position 1 removing key holding arrow 1 until flashes pressing arrow 2 3 times reiserting key to position 2 and then to 0? Please could you help.

Put key in the ignition, turn it to position 2, and back to 0 about 5 times untill it beeps at you, then remove the key and press one of the buttons.

I think anyway..
