you are wrong they started with converting ST170's to Focus RS then they produced the pre production cars Build plate shows PP## two digit number these were press cars along with the st170 CONVERTED CARS then they went into proper production cars starting with Number 0001 the cars were not built in any specific order with a total production run of 4567 cars this figure includes the test mules and PP cars also originally FMC only allocated 2000 cars for the uk market then upped the number wth an additional 500 vehicles in august 2003 to meet demand in the uk as allcars were sold on pre order.

Build number 0001 the first FRS is located in the FMC museum parked next to build no:1 RS200 next to it also is a sapphire cosworth 4wd with automatic transmission
