I get about 9k out of front tyres and the rears still have 5mm tread on them with nearly 18k on the clock.
Blimey! - What's your second name, Loeb?? I've just clocked 9.5k on my St500 and reckon I've got at least another 5k or more left out of the fronts and I'm not what you'd call a "plodder" by any stretch of the imagination.

Apart from that, all sound commments.

I'd add that the one thing I'd say not worth opting (if you have an option) for is the voice control. The Bluetooth is great but everything else is a novelty that I personally think is not worth the money. Do go for the parking sensors if you can. Front is fine but reversing into spaces you think you're about to hit the wall but are miles away.

Depends what tyres it came on from the factory I guess? Older ones had either Conti Sportcontact2 or Goodyear Excellence (which were pants). Newer ones tend to come on Conti 3s which I've found are wearing much much better than the 2.

I'm on my third set of fronts, and very rarely have anyone or anything in the back or boot so that probarbly goes some way to explain it, got Continental Sport Contact 2's on the rear, as for the front's I do have a leaden right foot smile and I replace my tyres at 2.5 to 3mm of tread rather than the legal minimum.
