I will be the proud new owner of this car tomorrow.
Went to have a look at it on Wednesday with a mate who's one of those guys that knows everything there is to know about cars. After a thorough inspection he gave it the thumbs up, it's mechanically sound apart from one of the rear shocks showing the first signs of a leak. The bodywork isn't perfect and the alloys aren't very good condition but they are all easy fixes and everything is else is absolutely fine, not to mention it's got a very high spec.
I can't believe the value for money you get with these, they are so much car for the money.
First jobs will be get the alloys refurbed and possibly sprayed a slightly darker colour, sort the bodywork, new rear shocks and most importantly, fit a new exhaust. From what I gather, JP and Milltek are the most popular, does anyone have any experience with either?
Congratulations. Get the oil changed - the V6 likes fresh stuff. Went to have a look at it on Wednesday with a mate who's one of those guys that knows everything there is to know about cars. As for the exhaust, I worked with JP on the design and fitment of the JP. It's unique in the sense that it maintains the twin pipes to the same length as the original design. Certainly more OEM looking than most options.

On what basis are the focus st225 brakes un upgrade over the standard st220?
They allow a larger disc, have a larger single piston and a greater pad contact area. I had a set remanufactured (along with the rears), braided hoses all round and new fluid. Never faded, never failed to haul up quickly.

Same owner 4 years. 34k miles. MOT history check confirms mileage.
No Xenons, no Bluetooth. Has parking sensors and nav though. Rear seat audio fitted looking at the pics. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Mondeo-st220-/30111...

Check the nav date though. No front mats either.

Ok Podie, good man. I`m guessing Xenons are a desirable option? I`m travelling a long distance to see it. The guys been honest and upfront giving me the MOT number so I could check the MOT history. Advisory for `slight corrosion on brake pipe`.Check the nav date though. No front mats either.
Brake pipes shouldn't be a big deal TBH.
Sat nav discs aren't cheap (genuine ones).

Yo Podie. It had the full set of mint mats. Don`t know why they weren`t in the pictures and it apparently has got Bluetooth. Or so the owner and the screen in the car says. Lights are great even though they might not be top choice. Any good Mondeo forums mate?Check the nav date though. No front mats either.
Good news on the mats - perhaps out for a hoovering when the photos were taken?
I always liked www.stdrivers.co.uk
This is also a useful resource - http://www.fordwiki.co.uk/index.php/Category:Monde...

Someone near me has just bought one of the last on a 07 reg.
Very light silver /blue doesn't seem to match any of the colours- although it does look familiar and generic
Will have to have another look.
There`s a 2004 near me that is the same colour. I couldn`t work out what colour it was supposed to be. Says `silver` in the V5 but it`s anything but.Very light silver /blue doesn't seem to match any of the colours- although it does look familiar and generic

I took mine to my local coachworks and they did it for sensible money.
What did they do and how much did they charge? Had a few car park dents done too, and a rear bumper spray. Seem to recall it was circa £600.

I will say is don't be tempted to remove the rear silencers it makes a great noise but drones horrifically
My car was used as the development car for the saloon / hatch JP exhaust system. No drone, more noise on throttle and a few cheeky crackles...http://s21.photobucket.com/user/Podie77/media/ST22...
Kidders had them make up a pipe without the bullet silencers...
