Yep, exactly how I feel. So few about, which I think makes it feel even more special.
I really hope they do another Mondeo ST, athough sadly I suspect it will be a 4pot turbo.
My TitX Sport feels like 'natural progression' in many ways to my old ST. It's certainly quick enough and it handles very well, but of course it doesn't have the same 'sparkle'.I really hope they do another Mondeo ST, athough sadly I suspect it will be a 4pot turbo.

So if you had the choice of a sub 100k petrol or a diesel with over 100k which would be the better buy?
I quite fancy the St estate but I'm stuck with either the diesel or petrol choice?
That's a no-brainer. Get the petrol.I quite fancy the St estate but I'm stuck with either the diesel or petrol choice?
I can't see a single compelling reason to buy the diesel, myself.
Just doing a bit of Ford lurking,Hi all, remember the 1998 earls court show sat in most of the cars ,sat in this and looked at my nephew " This is the Bizzo" and it was, the seat position and room was pertfect.Sadly just window shopping but allways remember that moment,we had just sat in an XJR and it was so tight in there compared to the ST.Allways loved fast fords ,my 6 month old XR3i I couldnt haved loved a car more

Hi Howard, how's the latest acquisition shaping up? Always have liked how mk4's sit on larger wheels. Would be the one I'd go for if looking
I love it. It feels like natural progression from the ST220 even though it lacks some of the responsiveness, but the 2.0 turbo engine is a very impressive unit and I am enjoying the Powershift double clutch autobox. The Titanium X Sport looks as different to the regular ones as the ST220 does to the mk3. I managed to find one which has a few options ticked so it satisfies my geeky requirements also. I won't clutter this thread with more info and pics but I will update my reader's rides thread at some point Glad to hear Howard, had a look in the readers cars section, looking good.
Pics of mine as soon the weather improves, needs a good afternoon spent I think.
As a side note,am looking to replace all 4 tyres, any recommendations from anyone? Prices on higher end manufacturers seem very reasonable but get very differing reviews on each specific make.

I bought a set of new tyres for my beast from these guys http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/car-tyres-225-...
Cheapest I could find they delivered to a local tyre fitters near me and it cost £39 to have all four fitted by them

Vredestein Ultrac Sessentas on my ST TDCI. Awesome and predictable grip from the tyres in summer and winter, and I drive my car HARD around Welsh B Roads (and any other B roads for that matter).
Very good in wet due to their unique assymetric tread pattern. I am on my third set of these now.

Cheapest I could find them back when I had my ST220 was about £125 each
Noticed a bit of smoke under load on mine recently. Not much but enough for me to start to worry about it. Also, there's a little oil residue on the tailgate.
So, I'm guessing it's either being pushed through the pistons under load or I have a leak on a valve.
Oil change will be done this weekend with something a little thicker to see if that helps and I'll check the plugs whilst I'm at it.
Luckily, I work for a lubricants manufacturer, so I'll be speaking to our lab guy later.

Hi all.
I'm new to pistonheads, but not car forums.
I've registered to get some Info, but thought I'd also post in this thread as I have a 220.
It's Panther black with red interior. Done quite a few changes on it since getting it, and am now working on fitting mud flaps.
I've been meaning to fit them since owning mk3 mondies with side skirts about five years ago, but its now on my to do list.
I've got a pair on the front, but may change the design again. As ford never bothered to make OEM ST/TitX mud flaps I'm wondering what any posters here have fitted apart from flat rally flaps.
