After lots of thinking I've finally decided what the hell I'm going to take my mk5 fiesta 1.25 zetec on a few track days. I know it'll probably be the slowest car there but so long as I have fun. Anyway does anybody know what the best and most simple way to improve the brakes are as there pretty awful as standard I've found. I don't really want to go down the full lots of modifications route if I don't have to as I don't want anything thats going to start putting my insurance premiums up! A few people have told me just getting some ebc pads or similar will make a big difference and some proper fluids but has/does anybody on here track a similar car or know whats the best way forward as I'm afraid to go on track with the standard brakes as I've had them start to fade on me after long periods of enthusiastic road driving let alone track driving.
Many Thanks

Look for a set of front brakes from a late puma or if you have bigger wheels an st170 the calipers pads and discs all bolt on and with a decent set of pads will be perfect for every day use and the odd track day.

Thanks neiljohnson, thats one I'd not heard of and if they just bolt on is probably the best option for me. Is it wise to notify the insurance company about doing that or because their ford parts do you think I could get away without it so to speak!
