Read recently (can't remember where) that since Ford own Volvo, the Focus is going to be basically the same car as the next small-ish Volvo. Anyway, they could economically get a turbo 4*4 by sharing with Volvo.

It'll be based on the same platform as the new mazda 3 - supposed to be a great car for its type.

I know stats on paper dont make a car , but a cosworth focus will have to live up to STi/Evo numbers as it will cost the same.

Current focus's are down on power compared to others in ther class (ST170 vs CTR etc) but manage to compete just.

As for the RS Mondeo? We have the ST220 already, so 270+bhp? 4WD? just needs that Jag badge lol...

I doubt we'll be seeing the Focus Cosworth for a long while yet. Whatever platform they use, it has to be 4-Wheel drive, or we should all save our money and buy an older, cheaper RS, 'cos until they get 4-wheel drive and a more powerful lump in it, it just can't justify it's price tag.
