the savage was built from a 1600gt shell, the engine was a 3.0 v6 essex lump and although not exactly fast on top-end it was bloody quick from standstill.

the cars were built in a garage called 'race proven ltd',they were based just off the uxbridge road at hanwell, middx (hence me saying 'hanwell savage') by 'the great uren'....a true petrolhead who also did savage mods on mk2 cortina gt estate,mk3 cortina gt and capri shells too.

the owners of original 'savages' are very protective of their cars and one way to pish them off is to say "i remember that car,it was trashed back in (make up a year in the '70's) and was re-shelled".....then run as fast as you can!!

for more info, look at the site for all things 'tina'.....

www.buysellcortina.co.uk

look under the 'articles' section and click on 'savage'.

p.s,there is a re-shelled sav on ebay at the moment and there is also one for sale on the autotrader website too.

Yes it was called the Probe concept from 1981,which was a five door version with the "bi-plane" rear wing, the front of the car never made production until the 87 face lift

a rev counter???........most of the sierras ive heard have had drivers who wait for the hydraulic lifters to start smacking into the rocker cover before changing gear.

The rocker? Is that all? I thought they had to puncture the bonnet before they changed up? Same with Transits. If the pistons are still within the block then you're a pussy

FWIW the RSOC now has permission to reprint any Ford brochures/manuals/posters/literature not in current production. What would be your first choice?

Mine would be anything related to the RS200.
