Thank you Polly..Somewhere in Belgium now after my last sale of it up in Scotland where it was unused for a couple of years.
Have tried to contact new owners but unlike WFD it has been lost for ever i assume.

I think the Stockton on Tees market square picture of WFD with spectators and the always impressive forward hinging bonnet is the best i have seen .

Looks like a 3000 or 2500M in maroon down the line..

I would still climb over the rest to get to WFD..Speed six tempting though!

Just to keep the thread going I have been looking for old pictures of TVR that I have noticed during my life.
Here is a Grantura with VW torsion bar suspension and MGA (?)engine that I did some work on for a friend..
I remember the ride was very harsh, even unbearable..
But the looks and condition was great..
Anyone recognise it?
The pustules were taken back in the 1980s.

Shame you didn`t have more pictures of your original TVR Tuscan..

Did you eventually find any information to its existence ?

Has anybody any contributions to add to this site..

There are lots of Vixens racing throughout the world..See Facebook Vintage And Historic TVR Racers Group..

How about a quest to find Keith first TVR Tuscan as pictured above .Shame that he cannot recall the registration number..

Interior just seems as the same as i last sat in there some 40 years ago..Still has the parking brake handle lock and steering wheel.
Kick plates are different though on the sill.
Who ever did the re-uphoster did a good job.

Something that came up on my Facebook memories the other day, was a so similar Series 2 Vixen that had been forgotten like in my
ownership since 1980..

Registration is LNK 10H. Colour looks like Maroon .

Wow! Just done a DVLA check on it and it is in Black and was last issued with a V5c in April 2023. Tax was due (historic??) April.
So it looks as if it is still either on the road or recently purchased..

Be so good if the owner was to comment on here.

Bit confused ,but as i have said elsewhere if you have a Ballast resistor Coil then it will overheat with 12 volts plus continue going through it and will make the Vixen misfire.
Posted on here for someone with more knowledge on here to comment.

Must have taken some effort to remove flywheel in situ like you described ,but good scene overall in 2 years use .Hope that the replacement Starter is compatable with the flywheel so you don`t get to do it again..
It has enabled this thread to continue a bit more as well..

As i have mentioned before it would be nice for anyone to forward things about existing rebuilding their Vixen..Surely must be a few in progress at present..
Searching YouTube their are some beauts on the Hillclimb & Sprint scene and Production class Historic Sports Cars

Not VIXEN but a pre X flow engine being man handled in and out of my Cortina was a bit of a humping around for a 70 plus person like me
,,Good effort Keith
.Being used overall to Hillman Imp engines i find that more enjoyable to deal with than heavy lumps of cast iron.

Certainly wouldn`t turn my nose up of one of those Reuben V8 Griffith creations though..

Looking forward to Micheal`s posts of the progress of the V8 Tuscan...

In the 1980 picture of WFD in Brown i see my #VW Variant parked in front..Just cannot see the full registration to see if it is still around..
I used it to tow the trailer and Mason Stiletto to events.Well just a few as it turned out..
Coming back from Lydden Hill to Brentwood on the M2 the engine expired and it was sold off as was..Really liked that VW .
Nice to have these sites to see now and again your past coming back to you!

Getting back to Micheal in Germany ,it too would be great to know of the owners pre my ownership in 1980 of WFD 400H. I know the ownership one before me of the guy called Gareth that sold it to me from the Hartswood estate in Brentwood ..He was the one who had it re-trimmed and painted Brown ..I think he said it had been painted blue when he purchased it..
Keep meaning to enquire at DVLA for addresses of previous owners for Keith but never get around to doing it.
Anyone know of any easier way to do so ..I think it would have to be the registered owner able to make enquiries though.
