A chap from India of all places posted footage on you tube regarding club Autocross back in the 1970's..
It is brilliant in that it is reel motion camera work and pathe news type commentry..
Captured the club scene and portrays the simple example of competing back then.
Anyhow to my surprise a TVR of period has action footage about halfway in the video.
I have shared it to my Facebook page ' Llewellyn Imp Motorsport ' in case you cannot find it on you tube

Instantly reminds me of the smell of GRP and petrol that I had in ownership..
Did i read somewhere that the tank leaked?
That is the first time I have seen the type of fuel tank installed.
No luck with the masses of receipts of purchases..Appears to have been lost in one of my moves.
Will arrange for the cine film to be converted this week.

Hello Keith.
Still trying to find a local cine to dvd transfer place locally rather than sending it off mail order and potentially never seeing the arcive material from 1980 again. .
The interior from the factory would have been black as standard..
The retrim carried out by the previous owner to me had it done in that such tasteful way..
As i said before it was also painted Brown..As Orange is in the same spectrum as brown as is tan it will look great still.
I do believe Lamborghini have a similar colour combination ..
Seeing WFD coming together like this is wonderful for me..
How on earth could I leave it in a lock up for 25 odd years..Shameful!

Oh how I miss looking at that tan interior..
I remembered straight away that nearside door kept opening at around 80mph..
That was when it had the original but modified by me crossflow ..
Little jogging of memoriese keep coming back.m

I painted those wheels way back in the eighties..
Smeared grease on the shiny bits and spray canned the recess in satin black..
See the original tyres are fitted..Well when I had it..
Pirelli and Goodyear G800s.

My Irish Setter used to stand on the rear shelf at times and lean into the corners..
The trim was almost newly done when I bought it so was nice .
27 years in a council lock up took a bit of toll and the carpet had a degree of creasing but survived well..
And it does look good still.
I can smell the combination of leaking fuel tank and vinyl as it was then..

Amazing how the days whizz by..
Having trouble getting on site as well. .
Password seems to be malfunctioning.

I must be into Imps because I neglected WFD in preference to them..
How I stupidly rid of the Mason Stiletto special Saloon twice and the Vixen to help finance my son's meeting activities..

I removed the cross brace up the clutch housing and during the process of modifying and installation of a Zodiac Mk 4 V6 and overdrive gearbox..
Idea later abandoned in the early 1980's.

My oh my..A month has gone by since the last post..
Only just saying on facebook how my TVR Vixen kept rejecting all the non TVR bits that were fitted to it..
Seems after being awoken from dormancy it is reoccurring.
