Silverstone FTZ Slick Tyre? 888s? IMHO Mickey Thompson Street ET radials but very good results can be had with R888's or similar. Slicks are not recommended really. If they are track slicks then it will take a lot to get the required heat into them and the sidewalls will be very stiff.... not ideal for drag racing. If you do get them sticky or run drag slicks its highly likely you will break a driveshaft or worse. Do you mind if I ask you where you get them from?

I run the 255/50/16's and had to cut and shut the inner arches a little to clear. For the odd RWYB i would recommend getting a pair of trackday tyres such as 888's. Then at least you can get more suitable sizes and drive to and from the track on them. The MTs are street legal but due to the soft sidewalls tend to wallow about in corners.... a lot.

Don't fall for Dereks R888 plot They aint that good! I would invest in a proper set of MT's, the 2 fastest runners use them... See you Sunday Derek

See you Sunday Derek Perry Waddams ran into the 1.7's to 60 feet on a pair of 888's at Shakey so they are capable to a good level. Ive just recently hit a 1.79 on my MTs but am improving. Pauls 1.62 just goes to show that the MTs can become seriosly sticky and take a lot of HP. Twister has run a low 8 on them with over 1500 bhp!

Perrys griff has serious torque which goes some way to explaining the good time, (not dismissing his skill and good looks ).
