I know that there is another thread on this already but i'm only after the answer to one question (which I posted in that thread but didn't get a reply )

How much will it be to get into Chatsworth? I live 10 mins from South Mimms and would like to meet up there and tag along to Chatsworth. Should I have already bought a ticket or something????? - sorry if this is a real numpty question but can any one put me out of my misery??

only other thing rather than head towards Borehamwood hop on the M25 and go two Junctions to Watford A405 then you can get on the M1 heading north towards Junc 15 etc - I know a few are looking join along the way.

Its a squid to park. Thats about it. To get into the house itself (really nice if you are into stately homes) costs about 6 quid I think (Its been a few years since my last visit.
The rest of the stuff - parkland, etc - is free.
Cheers, and see you there

Yep, it's £1 for parking. I'm waiting to get a reply from the events organiser at Chatsworth, on whether they will cordon off an area for us. He did mention the area in front of the stables, which is nice and easy to find as you enter the parking area - mind you, I suppose you'd have to be deaf NOT to find us all! The Duchess herself is vetting my letter, but even if I hear nothing, they cannot stop us going. I reckon we're up to aboout 80 PH'ers, and possibly more from TVRCC, who don't frequent this site. Certainly East Midlands branch have moved their monthly meeting to Chatsworth, and I e-mailed a few other RO's to get their interest. 100 TVR's could be a possibility!

Yes, it's all being sorted! I've asked Ted for some banners or something, but if not, I'll make something up. However, I'm not sticking signs up on every highway in the country, o.k.?

I'd have thought it was the ideal excuse for a blast.

I can just see it now: "I'm just going out to put some signs up for the PH meet, might be some time ...."

Can't comment on the ice cream but I have some sticky toffee pudding from Cartmel to nosh... mmmmmmmschlurp...;-)
Back on topic.... I'll be coming from t'North-East, but staying at t'girlies in t'Leicesterbygumhappenaslikeasnot and driving up on t'Sundaythaknowseeaye. So I'll probably be mistaken for a soft southerner. In order to dispel any such doubts, I fully intend to drive bollock naked, with the roof off and the heater blowing full cold, whilst feeding chopped glassfibre, itching powder and battery acid into the heater intake. Prior to my journey, I will have the girlie wax off all my body hair and rub salt all over me. The night before, I will sleep in a rolled-up newspaper in the gutter, and have the local constabulary thrash me to sleep with their truncheons.
It's tough oop North....

Blanket of snow! Luxury. When we were kids it were a hankie an two bits of plastic twine for a pillow!
