5 hrs standing in the wind n rain was challenging. Fun driving conditions except for the slow numpties on a Sunday. Pet hate - drivers who slow for cattle grates. Faster is better.

Better tell the dark blue Chim driver that - I had to brake hard behind him after he slowed to walking pace to cross the cattle grid at the entrance to Chatsworth Hope your trousers have dried out, Gary! I just dumped most of mine into the washing machine, leaving a damp puddle where I'd been standing! I'll second the "brave the elements" award to the chap taking photo's or video at the entrance, that St George umbrella didn't seem to be giving much shelter!!!!! I hope the gratuitus blips of the throttle made up for being sat there damp and cold!!! Well done to Kev and the team - standing marshalling cars, collecting the money, getting colder and damper by every minute: the "unsung hero's" who make these events possible. Note to the TVRCC regalia stand: TVR waterproof overtrousers should go down a storm!!! (No pun intended! ) Nicky: Hope that tyre got you home OK!

Great day out despite the rain thanks everyone I was in the Chimaera that was behind you most of the way on the M1, was good to join up with some other TVRs having driven on my own most of the way there except the last few miles with James. Clives car (if i remember correctly) had a very loud exhaust! - Not often i can hear much over mine when on a motorway! Saw several TVRs on the way back, then ended up driving along side an Audi R8 for several junctions who gave the thumbs up! Not sure if you know, but every now and then your reverse light came on when you were driving along - Confused me the 1st time! Only on for prob up to 10 secs.

I have to say that was the wettest meet I've ever been to.
First time in six years I've had to have the roof on (forgive me fellow Wedgers, but we all had them up today).
Good to meet up with some old faces and some new ones.
I'm afraid I left around noon, and followed a Sag out of Chatsworth (he almost stopped for the cattle grid).
Big thanks to Kev and all the team.
PS Trev, I was the idiot in the Golf who flashed you around 9:00 this morning @ Meadowhead. I'd just dropped no3 daughter at the stables and was on the way home to pick up the Wedge.

Six of us headed up from sportmotive, Ant. included, the drive was more about self preservation than fun though, Still was very pleased how easily the cerb handled the conditions. I was really impressed by the number of cars that made the event, TVR drivers must be made of stern stuff! There were some tasty cars on show if only the rain would have let us appriciate them a bit more. The organisers can be proud of putting on a great event inspite of the appalling weather, they were soaked but still smiling. Well done to you all!!!!!

It wasn't me.... there's lots of cascade Sags about this weekend The cheek of some people.... I really enjoyed my mystery tour (after you kept me company thru the god damn awful bits !!!!) and at least you found a lovely old long roman bridge for future reference !!!

Hi Tim, No i didn’t know it was you, was good to have some company on the journey back! I was taking it steady – i had a ‘moment’ on the way up, around 80 on the motorway and i hit standing water, over which the car aquaplaned and slewed left to right, scared the bejesus out of me so i decided steady and slow way the way to go!!! When James Agger’s cars came past they were pushing it a bit i thought...so didn’t want to stay with them!!! Thanks for the feedback over the reverse light, it wasnt working until recently so i had a play with it, got it working now but obviously not faultlessly...will have another look...

No problem Steve, it did make me look out for the camera van for a few miles though. Lol You didn't have to confess to having the roof on, I did say I wouldn't mention it. STEVE HAD IS ROOF ON EVERYBODY.

On the run back to Chatsworth I was (closely) follwed by a stunning Tuscan (from Aberdeen), that has had a 4.3 TVR Power conversion. The run down the B road back to the A6 was epic. PS Don't worry, once I got home and put the Wedge back in the garage normal service was resumed; the roof panel was taken off and put to dry.
