Where is the Speed 12?
Discussion
Ok, I've read this and want some facts or just set the record. There has to be more that 2 speed 12's left, you can't keep painting the same car. What happened to the white racing speed 12? Then what happened to the purple racing speed 12? I think that there are more but they are kept quiet. I have been researching info and collecting pictures for years, so maybe I can help shed some light on a legend. Here is the white racing speed 12, was this the same white racing from top gear?

Well I'm afraid that's exactly what TVR used to do, I'm pretty certain that the white and purple Speed 12 is the same car, show me a picture with both cars in it.TVR even used to respray cars and then register it with a different number, that's why it appeared that there were several road registered Speed 12 Cerberas when there was only one. Indeed I believe NS fell for that one and after his purchase of TVR went looking for all the Speed 12 Cerberas he owned....
PS By the way, great lurking proj712

I heard from the guys doing the Bluebird restoration and they say they no longer have one of the Cerbera Speed 12 there. It was there though, for some time. But it was then passed on to the late Carl Spencer as an ornament for his reception area at work. When Carl died (May 2009), the car was returned to the estate of Peter Wheeler, who died soon after (June 2009). They have no idea what happened to it after that... Maybe someone can fill in the next stage for this particular Speed 12?

Hmmmm ... sound plausable doesn't it? The picture I posted above was taken about 3 years ago. A mate was working at the time in Oldbury/West Brom when he saw it up the corner of a warehouse and sent me the picture asking what it was!! Didn't at the time realise the potential significance of what it was he was looking at.

Aren't those two completely different blocks pictured earlier in the thread, one looks 90deg, the other 75deg - or have I missed the point entirely?
No you haven't missed the point, the first picture was a TVR Speed 12 engine, the second picture was Graham's Aston V12 based engine he's putting in his second car.Correct.

White Speed 12 racer is unaccounted for, possibly back with Peter Wheeler's estate.
Purple race car, was last seen in the Bluebird owner's premises. Where it is now, unsure, could well be back with the Wheelers.
All will hopefully be cleared up and clarified shortly when the new website launches.

Not me but it has gone to a good home. Jonny and Brian have all the details.
I think I already mentioned the dyno blow up when we had the AM on it.... sounds familiar. Actually it was only an electrical gremlin but makes for a good story.

Did anyone notice any similarities in the dyno used for the AM and S12 engines?
