Its all clean fun - and I met a Griff owner the owner the other day whilst filling up with petrol, and we both exchanged a few polite words / compliments. I wouldn't lower the tone of posting in these forums with childish jibes towards a fellow TVR owmer, either... However - that said, after having a closer look at his Griff, it just confirmed the fact that I had made the right choice by choosing a Chim.

Given the poise and set up of a griff, and the obvious advantage that the drivers have, it is probably better to suggest that the 4.0 is all that is needed to keep up with the chimps.
(how am I doing?)

(how am I doing?) Not bad, (for a griff boy). There's obviously not much to do, it's been p*ssing it down all night and all today in Surrey, polished the car in the garage, (it must have thought it was it's birthday), had a big fry up brunch and can only dream of good weather and a long blast . And another thing, all this crap weather has given me some thinking time, I like griffs, in fact I like all TVR's, ('cept tamoras, what were they thinking?), there I've said it, now for some counseling!

I have to take the blame for the weather.
It has rained everyday since I paid my deposit.
Strangely the same thing happened a few years ago when I bought a new motorbike. That year the whole summer was a wash out.
Sorry.

And so began the end of all things. "I like Griffs". This is probably the result of simply too much thinking time (due to weather), but it does suggest some kind of psychological deficiency or other underlying mental problem. A visit to the doctor won't help as when you mention TVR they'll probably think it's some kind of forgotten sexually transmitted disease... which of course it might well be.. However, the simple admission "I like Griffs" clearly demonstrates a suppressed desire to exhibit latent and disturbing abnormal tendencies... Peter, if you'd just said "I need help", we may have been able to deal with this without the embarassment and self doubt that you must now be feeling. We should all rally round to help a brother in (desparate) need.... God help us if this spreads...

There is one thing that concerns me...
... what's all this talk a few posts above about looking forward to better weather and all that. Unless it's from Griff owners that aren't able to get it up easily ... (their roof that is!)
Been over to Bournemouth today in the Chim and the old girl didn't miss a beat even when the water was bubbling up through the battery box boltholes at one point!

V8 GRF said: Unfortunately some do. I was tackled by someone once who had taken exception to something that had been posted on a thread like this, not a what had I'd posted but the fact that as an 'official of the TVRCC' I shouldn't be condoning such things...... When I explained it was all meant in jest his face turned red and we couldn't wait to change the subject. I've noticed it's the newer owners/posters who seem to take it a bit more seriously, somethings obviously got lost in translation along the way... Well, I'm offended by what you say. Doesn't matter what you say, I'm still offended. You said a while ago I hadn't wound anyone up for a while - is this OK, Dave?
