Guys
I have an aircon RV8 and notice that they have used 7mm fuel hose on all the feed and return. I have bought 8 mm hose!!

Does anyone know why its 7mm on the aircon models and if 8mm will seal?

Thinking this through its 7mm hose from the fuel pump to the filter and from the filter to the solid copper rail, its also 7mm from the copper pipe to the tank on the return but surely the pump, filter and return fitting on the tank are the same for both cars and 8mm seems to work on the non aircon models so why 7mm on mine??

Will I get away with 8mm or do I change the fking lot again!!
Cheers

I would think the 8mm will seal no problem.

What makes you think the 7mm hose you have on the car now is original?

I'd replace an easy to check section - like the bit from the pump to the filter or from the filter to the copper hard line - then run it and watch for leaks.

I can't see any reason why having Air Con would make any difference to the size of the rubber fuel hoses used though.

Thanks both- Ian I seem to remember the a/c fuel cooler is 7mm, I have fitted 8 mm at the rear and pressurised it without a problem. I think I wil go on line and get 7 mm for the front as I don't want to risk it!!
