Just had a look at google maps and trying to guestimate the distance from the end of the run to the braking point. I guess at about 0.8 - 0.9 mile. What do you think?

If thats the case then a standing start to hit 158 before the cone has made my weekend smile
Kept forgetting to clock it when i was doing the runs (way too giddy) but there was no way that was 2 miles! So i went on google maps and used there Maps Labs Distance Measurement Tool. Now from where we were setting off just down from the SPEED 12 to the end of the straight bit where you turn round i am getting 1.165 miles and from where we were setting off to the last big warehouse next to the track (the braking cone was well before this and at the speeds i was getting upto the end of the warehouse was stamp on here or die!) I'm getting 0.894 miles! If that is right then i'm well happy!!!! :-)

If you put in LS25 6JE to google maps goto the bottom left and click on Maps Labs and switch on the distance measurement tool then measure the runway from right to left and see what you get.
Agreed - I get about 1.18 miles total length and about 0.88 miles to the braking cone. About 28 secs for me to 146 but wish I'd taken it to the end of the warehouse...

Paul Black has had 197 in his LS7 Sag at Vmax.
I thought his would be faster than this???

How is brummies so much faster...gearing??
confused they're only 5mph apart at 200mph. they're as close as close can be really! Anything that's that close to 200mph is properly, properly fast!

I thought every 1mph at that speed was like night and day...an extra 5mph is a lot I would of said.

Maybe so then. I mean .. if one was doing 1000mph and the other 1005mph then I'd agree one was really fast and one was pathetic yes

Can't remember the exact speed but to get anywhere near this is truly astonishing, it's really really tough and requires huge power
The cerbera is a really slippery shape. I was really surprised by how stable mine felt at terminal speeds. Add to that brummie has big power and big cojenes

140mph in a Chim 400 was my fastest speed, verified by my GPS. Chasing the Cerbera Speed 12 down the runway was a pretty special thing too......absolutely left me standing haha!
