As Danny and his big bro will be driving, obviously no need for a rear view mirror !!!!!
We have a rear view camera with a LCD screen on the dash next to the data logger,Back to Birmingham tomorrow for final finishing, should be testing in a few weeks (weather Permitting)
On the trailer and back to Birmingham tomorrow for a final finish before we go testing.
Ride hight and geo not done yet so looks a little high at the front, also the main splitter will sit 40mm lower than the one fitted to the front, the one you see in the pics comes off with the front, the other not yet fitted will stay on the chassis.
Looks manacing Craig...
Is it legal to have blacked out rear...Marshals might want to see in? Think some funcups do...
...and is that Tank up as high as it looks? Several Tuscans (inc my old one - 70L) had tanks above the diff carrier and they didnt stick up that much. that much fuel that high up will have a major effect on COG and it will change quite alot as the fuel is used.
Just asking mate, I'm sure its cool.

Not sure re the comment about the rear being blacked out ? I am sure the Marshals will want to look in the back as they do every time we go to them prior a race,But it has obviously been made removemable as the original one was, also allot of cars are similar to this, the Exige cup is an example,
We feel the tank is mounted in the best place , it is in the exact place as it was last year, it is just longer and as a result holds 30 ltrs more than last year, as far as the COG goes we didn't have any handling issues last year and to win outright in the wet on slicks at Brands GP shows how well balanced it is, don't forget when you ask about COG that we have widened the footprint of the car by around 7" at the rear,it is a brand new ATL fuel cell in a aluminium container, we only put the fire wall in as a extra bit of safety as it didn't require one as far as Blue book goes,
The car will be going to see Stuart form Oulton Park soon who is a MSA/FIA scrutineer, if he says certain things need altering to pass we will do them.
Are you out next year mate?

Thought you'd be on the ball there craig, just wasn't sure about it from the pics.
As you say, many are blacked out, but they are louved, so that you can see out and Marshals in. Wasn't thinking about scute so much as if (God forbid) it was upside down and buried in the tyres.
As for the tank...lower is better as you know, and winning on wets just reinforces the over axle position. I thought you may need a really big tank?
I think all the other Sags run bespoke bag tanks from the dif carrier position, down to the voids ahead of the rear chassis outriggers and behind the seats.
Anyway, I'm sure the Winstanley cars will be at the front as they always are!
As for me...might be out at the end of the year...I fancy a big'un meself if I'm still here.

Doesn't seem to be an issue with scruits or these wouldn't be able to race..
My pal has raced in fun cup and said it had no rear view in or our at all.
When you say something big, what are you thinking of mate???????
