Team Winstanley's Race Sag
Discussion
Yep, fair enough, wouldn't be keen myself mate.
But I guess Danny isn't bothered from behind as much as I am!
Something bigger...? Still Tuscan, just a bigger engine. Like yours maybe.
That's if I stay, still looking at going atm.
Will be here to see yours in action, so I expect an invite!!!!!
But I expect Danny will be a touch more gentle with the Sag than he was with the Skyline at Spa

you do not need to see out of the back of the rear of the car according to MSA regulations (through what would be a window). E.g you can not see anything out of the back of the racing marcos at topcats that I raced at the 24hr.
The new radical couple has no visibility in the same way but it does have side mirrors.
You are meant to be able to adjust the main aid used to view backwards by hand - the new radical has left electric mirrors in for this reason - other ways of doing it is a rear view camera.

Thats what we have fitted, a rear view camera,Hopefully watching the other cars going smaller The new radical couple has no visibility in the same way but it does have side mirrors.

Hi Craig,
Way to go, the japanese team fitted a rear view camera in the Marcos which I thought was a brilliant idea but some of the drivers did nit like it.
I wish you the best for the season - not too good though I have the feeling we will be sharing a grid on some occasions

Hi Craigwhere do you put the monitor? would you mount it where the rear view mirror is?
Have always thought about this because naturally a driver looks here to see what is behind. (unless I am driving my van which has no rear windows so I use the side mirrors)
Years ago I saw a road car with a mirror arrangement on the roof that acted like a periscope and helped the driver see through a caravan (car was too low)

We got Danny to sit in the car with the moniter and was going to mount it were the mirror was, but he said he prefared it at the side of the data logger as he would be glancing at the shift lights ect,
I have also seen the periscope mirror set up and did cindider that as well, bue with the camera you will have a better weiw as the wind won't be in the way,i have one fitted to the race truck i leave on all the time and the quallity is that good you can even see chewing gum in the road.
Hows your beast coming on ?
Craig
Some drivers never look in the mirrors anyway, I remember when we were racing in Fiesta's we never put the door mirrors on as Tim would always have knocked them off by the first lap
Our little beast is going well, just tidying up a few things and getting ready for the season. We have spent longer working on the race truck than on the car so far. After 6 years of nagging from the wives we now have running water!!

BBC weather site says cold and cloudy with highs of 2 and possible snow showersThe griffs in pieces in sheffield, the tuscan likewise in London which leaves the new freshly painted Sag on road tyres, so with my tendancy to push on and a long drive there & back i figure i'll give this one a miss.
I'm testing @ Silverstone on the 1st of March if you fancy bringing the Seat or MX5?
