I have decided to start this thread as alot of people have been asking how the car is coming along,

Here are a few pictures and a little bit of info about the car,

Danny will be running the car in Britcar next year with his brother Brett, along with any thing else we decide to run in from Sprints to endurance races, the car is being built as strong as we can and have considered this within the build.

Time for a update on Danny's race car , We decided to go Ls power for next year so we have been doing the conversion . The motor is a ls3 stroked and bored to 7.0l,aftermarket CNC ls7 style heads, bespoke cam,all steel internals, dry sump, Jenvey throttle bodies, competition clutch, face plated TKO600 cryo treated gearbox (built in the states by Liberty Gears),ally/ billet prop , Dodge viper diff,OS Giken LSD, Crome moly crown wheel and pinion , uprated drive shafts and cvs,BIG Brembos Endurance brakes,3 way nitrons. We have spent lots of time making it strong and hopefully reliable, all of the front chassis has had to be reinforced as it was flexing way to much enough to bend wishbone bolts ( it's never been crashed ) , race car bladed type antiroll bar fitted plated wishbones , 911 turbo dry sump tank, Emerald ecu, here's a few pics

Coooo, that looks nice Craig.

Is that the same Sag or a new one?

Have you gone for a weight strip again too?
Britcar have a much more realistic/stable handicap system than you are used to methinks! wink

Hope to see it in DTEC at some point. Maybe in your development year 2013!

Looking fantastic Craig... Can't wait to see this in action! Also its great to see some serious development in the cars such as this and Jamie G's cerb. Keeping the TVR name strong in competition can only be a good thing smile

Same car Andy, should be around 980kg, it's about 8" wider than the last time we ran it 330/700/18" slicks on the rear 12" rims and 285 on 10" rim on the front,

Danny wants to join you guys in the DTEC next year for a few rounds as well.

Now that should be fun!

Great to hear that you and Danny are still thinking about the Challenge.

Mikes come back this year, Jonny W. Perry's developing his Chevy Tuscan (I can vouch for the fact that that is damn quick personally) Darrens AJP Sag was scheduled at Rockers, but he had a problem in testing...and the AJP GTFs may well be out at Oulton!

so there's loads for you to play with when you come!

There are up to 10 more cars becoming available for DTEC in 2013, so lets hope you come along as a Flagship Tiv!

With that build, power and talent you'll be hard to beat, but then you always were!

It's still going to be road legal, i shall run the engine in and do lots of miles on the road to iron out all the niggly bits that sometimes crop up,DTEC sounds exciting, If Fred,Steve and Andy can make a few races it would be a good grid of modified TVRs ?

With the ls3 Cerb it sounds like the makings of a 'super A' class...! Lots of new Tuscans out next year too so should see a pretty decent grid size increase :-)

Great this all got re-posted as i was pissed when it got pulled! So much so i actually took the time to complain!!
Car and engine look epic and on the larger rubber should really stick.
Guess you'll be passing me in a green flash smile
Very interested in the numbers you get off the breathed on LS3? Torque especially!
Look forward to seeing the car again as its obviously moved on a bit from this time last year!

I think quite a few people on here would like to see the car running next year, me included. Would it be possible to get some tickets and paddock passes made available (for a fee of course biggrin ) so we can experience the car and surroundings at a few tracks closer than Joe Public thumbup

You don't need pit passes to the DTEC and I don't think the majority of the other races require them either. Its's only F1 and the other 'up themselves' formulae that require them ;-)

ou could put Danny in a V6 Tasmin and he would be hard to beat,we had to ask him to slow down at Brands earlier this year as he turned the timing screeens purple in Qually in our Marcos and almost out quallied the Mosler and 430 GT2!
People couldn't believe that he matched ( tot he tenth) the top speed of the Mosler through the speedtrap on the back straight of the GP circuit.
Incredibly talented driver, be great to see him in Britcar and DTEC regularly.
