OK, a few of us are looking at upgrading our wheels. and I though this would be a good place so that everyone could see what thoughts are, prices and the like. Mine Sag has Jade R alloys, but I may be putting them up for sale to help fund some new wheels and rubber...

Here are some pictures from Brooklands, showing a few styles.

This is a Lexus wheel, 19", and looked like an updated spider when on the move.

What else are out there, how many people are thinking about changing their wheels, and does anyone have any pearls of wisdom to drop in? And by that, I don't mean 'keep it the same' or anything 'useful' like that.... biggrin

I am a big fan of the original Sagaris wheel, I think someone contacted the original manufacturer but they were to expensive frown a real shame as I don't think I would put anything else on my car.
That said interested to see what options are out there thumbup

Good call Don - should be a useful resource.

I run the SP12 in order to get the widths I want plus a stronger/lighter wheel, but always keen to see better options as I'm not sold on the looks.

For reference, I think they were around £900 a set, plus about £200 to have them refinished in shadow chrome.

Have always thought the Work CR Kai may be worth a punt...possible group buy?

Factorypilots new wheels

Lasersags Rota wheels - They are Rota Grid Drifts all round, finished in what they call Matt Bronze (believe it or not).

8.5 x 18 front, 9.5 x 18 rear, with 255/35/18 (std size) tyres all round.

Offsets are 44 at the front and 30 at the rear if memory serves me correct. No rubbing or other issues noted, and fitted using std TVR wheel nuts. Thinking of getting some for the Tuscan now....

I got them from this guy if anyone is interested.... www.performancealloys.com ask for Tony. I ordered them on the Friday, and they arrived on Monday. Top service.

And of course my Jade-Rs

What else is out there? How many people would be looking for a change? Dean, I agree the original motorshow Sag wheels are stunning.

Thanks Don1
I read your first post on this at work and thought must upload a shot of my Rota Torques when I get home and by the time I got home you had already done it for me.

Am always on the lookout for different wheels for the Sag so will follow this thread with interest.

Here's mine, I copied laser sags rota idea as love the rear dish.

Had them painted in gloss black and have the 8.5 & 9.5 staggered combo.

Without a doubt th car drives better!

Pictures don't do them any justice, they look almost oem IMO just need to swap the Tvr badges onto them now.

Oh just thought I'd add et35 all round so has widened the track, no rubbing and has saved 10kgs of unsprung weight! (total). Spigot rings are necessary.

Oh ok another excuse to post a pic of the P&J

I love the looks of these and it also seems to feel more solid than on spiders plus I have nitrogen in tyres

How about spray your jade r's? Black? From all the pics I'd say your current wheels are the nicest.? If you are changing then it's gotta be Motorsport look or bling.

Some not bad wheels there but nothing can get close to spiders with there "soft" round and flowing shape that suits the shape of TVR's so well Just a shame they are so "soft" and crap. A few of the above wheels have to many hard edges that is not to my taste on TVR's like my original Avez wheels. There must be something out there that has more rounded look to it.

I like the Rota Drifts the best from all of the Above nice deep dish look.

Its a shame there arent any technical specs for weight etc on the Rota site.

The spiders are some alloy of iron and ridiculously heavy. Has any one ever enquired about having spiders produced in a lighter alloy. One of the main drivers for me would be to reduce weight.

Pic of my Tamora on recently purchased and refurbished SP12's...

I'm pleased with them but I also love the look of the Spiders so have kept them.

I quite like these Ronal wheels but I'm not sure about the sizes required for a 2S
