I had 452`s on my old griff and found them ok after using toyos, I`ve heard some people say they go off hard after a while, but never had that problem myself.

I've got 452's on my Griff and I think they're as good as the Toyo's

I had them on my car (not a TVR, but a FWD GTI) and thought they were pretty crap. You can get some premium tyres for not much more money.

Not sure I'd run them on a sports car. I ran them o an S-Type Jag & they were great, with a couple of provisos. 1. they take a long while to run in 500-600 miles or so. 2. They are poor in low temps <7 deg C or so.
I wonder if a lot of the negatives are because of 1 & 2? The Jag is also very heavy around 1800kg. They were streets better than the P Zeros that it had on before. They lasted pretty well.

I`m running Falken 452`s ,for road use they`re great ..front 225/45/16 rear 245/40/17 . good combo.

255/40/17 fit nicely under the Griff rear arches with the 225/45/16`s

I'm running 18" on my Cerb and have no complaints.
I've covered 6000 miles this year, road noise is low, grip is good, not suffered tram lining as I did with the toyos .... That could be down to the 4 wheel alignment though.
Wear seems to be good too. Generally very good value for money.

I had 255x18x35 452's on the rear of the shopping car (E46 3 series) for a while - cant remember exactly how long they were on, but not very.

Working in central London, the car stood a lot and was used for a couple of short evening trips and general weekend stuff. Both tyres developed circumferential cracks on the inside side walls, was told both were dangerous during an MOT and had to be replaced. This was best part of 4-5 years ago, so not sure if the compound has changed or the side walls beefed up.

Read good reviews about Veredestein Ultrac Sessanta, and similar price bracket to the 452's so they're on the Beemer now. I don't push the beemer at all, so I have no first hand of experiences of their limits.

Think the Falkens work better on light cars; I put them on my old E92 330iM & they were really poor- really squirmy & wore appallingly. Fixed by fitting a set of Continentals.

Not disagreeing, however Id hardly say an E46 is that heavy though, especially on the rears without passengers or luggage. Was told it was the standing for long periods that probably helped propagate the cracks as the rubber hardened, as most Tivs tend to do.

Used them on my previous T350, and several times on my E46 BMW - very pleased with them and great value for money. Perhaps not quite up to track day use, but no problems in dry or very very wet. Recommended. Along with Hankook Evo S's.

Got them on mine, on 17Fr/18Rr... tramline more than I remember the previous T1Rs doing but grip well enough for throwing around on the road in all weathers so far encountered - I fancy trying Kumhos next

STOP!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy the Falken's. Sorry guys I HAD Falken Azenis RT615 on my Griffith. They took weeks to break in about 1000 km, they needed to be hot or you were stareing at the back of the car and at 3000 KM they started to fade away and HAD to replace them at 5000 km. I put Falken Zeix ZE912 on my Volvo V70 got about 2000 km and 2 split, they looked like they were cut so I didn't go after Falken, Then the other 2 split in the same place. Falken credited me about enough to buy 3/4 of 1 tire for the 4 out of 6 I had to buy. Back to the Griffith I tried to get Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 they were out of stock across Canada and I needed tires. I ended up with Dunlop Direzza DZ101. I have put about 1500 km on them and they are ok but I really haven't pushed them yet. So I think you know how I feel about Falken's, got lots and lots of money, go ahead buy them! You will be replacing them sooooon!

The 452 or 453 is a much more sporty tyre than the 912 which is a run of the mill one. I've never heard of the RT615 looks like it is American/Canadian market only? Get a reasonable write up here http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/falken-aze...

We're talking about FK452's here. Different tyre, same company. Good to know bad news aswell as good, but this thread seems to generally be saying FK452s are a decent tyre.
