STOP!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy the Falken's. Sorry guys I HAD Falken Azenis RT615 on my Griffith. They took weeks to break in about 1000 km, they needed to be hot or you were stareing at the back of the car and at 3000 KM they started to fade away and HAD to replace them at 5000 km. I put Falken Zeix ZE912 on my Volvo V70 got about 2000 km and 2 split, they looked like they were cut so I didn't go after Falken, Then the other 2 split in the same place. Falken credited me about enough to buy 3/4 of 1 tire for the 4 out of 6 I had to buy. Back to the Griffith I tried to get Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 they were out of stock across Canada and I needed tires. I ended up with Dunlop Direzza DZ101. I have put about 1500 km on them and they are ok but I really haven't pushed them yet. So I think you know how I feel about Falken's, got lots and lots of money, go ahead buy them! You will be replacing them sooooon!
We're talking about FK452's here. Different tyre, same company. Good to know bad news aswell as good, but this thread seems to generally be saying FK452s are a decent tyre.Though soon to be superceded if not already .

Agreed ....... there are good and bad tyres in all makers ranges, its like saying one manufacturer is better than all others for every conceivable use, its not practicle or possible ..... in the context of the original question, and having a set on my car , my personal opinion is yes for a Griffith Falken 452 tyres are a good option

I run the 912's on my 1 series and they are fine.Though soon to be superceded if not already .
Know many peopl who run 452's on TVR's who are happy........
Some of the so called Premium Brands/lines of tyres I have tried just do not work with lightweight sports cars, but work extremely well with a heavier weight sports car.. i the Pirreli Pzero seems to work well on high performance BMW/Merc BUT on a TVR IMHO useless...... the sooner that people realise that a tyre that works well on an ordinary car (read metal bodied) does not nessarilly mean it will work on a fiberglass bodied car the better.....
ie tyre xyz works on BMW 5 series really well is not a recomendation that it will work on a TVR, whilst tyre 321 works on my Lotus blah blah is maybe a nearer comparison, by all means not perfect but a lot nearer....

I think that's a good point, and it's probably fair to say that a lighter weight car needs a stickier tyre, as you don't have the weight pushing the tyre into the ground causing higher degrees of friction (up to the point where it loses grip of course!)ie tyre xyz works on BMW 5 series really well is not a recomendation that it will work on a TVR, whilst tyre 321 works on my Lotus blah blah is maybe a nearer comparison, by all means not perfect but a lot nearer....
I have Toyo T1Rs on at the moment, standard 15" and 16" wheels. They are reaching the end of their life now so looking for replacements. Was gonig to replace with the same but understand they are not available now.
Are you all saying that the FK452s are the best all round tyre then ? I'm looking for reasonable wet performance and don't mind sacrificing some dry weather grip for that -that's why the T1Rs were so good IMHO.

The T1R's are available as I've just looked on the Camskill website. Pretty cheap too.Are you all saying that the FK452s are the best all round tyre then ? I'm looking for reasonable wet performance and don't mind sacrificing some dry weather grip for that -that's why the T1Rs were so good IMHO.

I have these on the back of mine at the moment, interestingly the 275/35-18 i have on, on 10" rims are narrower than a 255/35-18 Toyo 888 at the tread area, but wider at the rim to give some rim protection.
Performance wise they are funny, they make your car feel and look Uber powerful because they slide everywhere thanks to virtually no grip, but by god do they last!
I did this to them and they didnt hardly mark...
