Yep that's as standard the LS7 has 505.
Nope. Christian is better placed to comment but I recall his LS3 is 480+ stock with plenty of scope to easily get a lot more. My LS7 is between 540 and 560 depending on RR (so lets's say 550) stock but getting a lot more is (relatively) a little less straightforward. Both Topcats. Fuel, mapping, intake, exhaust and I am sure other stuff I don't understand are all factors so will be interesting to see what this one does. Nevertheless I am sure it will be 'adequate'!spartridge said:

Nevertheless I am sure it will be 'adequate'!Stock LS3 is the 430 as in 430 bhp the next engine up is the 480, that is obviously the engine Christian has.
The LS7 is quoted as 505 as standard.
As you say extra bhp is easy to extract with different cams, manifolds etc but for ease it's easier to state the stock figures
unless the level of customisation is known
Just to clarify the LS3 comes in 3 power options, mine is a standard 430hp but as Simon has pointed out due to mapping, better breathing, exhaust etc i have seen 484hp so a standard 480hp LS3 could easily make over 500 with a little help.
This tuscan runs a different ECU to any conversion i have seen and was set up out in Austria running a cable not FBW, i know several get on with the FBW but i can't stand it even on my M5 its no more refined than the Griff and god knows what BMW put into R&D
In terms of power output from the LS3 the sky the limit so to speak which is why i switched from the RV8 in the first place, there a multitude of Superchargers tried and tested on the US market that bolt straight on plus turbo monsters like Graig @ Dyno Torque produces!
The plan for me will be to go somewhere between my current set up and what Brummie has achieved with the goal being to maintain drivability but i'm hoping for about 580hp & 510 max torque
Oh and to bin the FBW!!!

...'standard'
and
... stock figures
What I think Simon was stating earlier that there is a difference between "stock figures" (as given by GM) and "standard" (as per his stock engine on typical UK RR's). . and
... stock figures
The particular test GM used for the LS7 was very tough and gave a lower reading compared to typical aftermarket results. (SAE vs STP.)

Didn't the last Sagaris (the LHD green one from the 2008 Wesham barn launch) have a curved accelerator pedal too? Can't find the extended youtube vid now. Ok, ok, how much please? And are these made by the O.E. people?
Sent you an e-mail Mark ... Typhon pedals actually but were put on the MK2 Sag ... Accelerator is unchanged... Fitting them is a bit of a ball ache apparantly (I lent mine to someone , get my replacements tomorrow )...Pedal box out and some typical TVR bodging. I was just interested that's all. It is my post after all! I get excited over curvy pedals, you (my little Coventry Climax friend) get excited over bikes with scaffolding strapped to the back! We all have our own penchants Dom

I'd be interested to know where you've seen the curved pedals available?
