Ed, my car's still there too, praying for a return by the weekend, otheriwse do you want me to book a minibus for all us 'owners with cars still at Austec' to come along Sunday? Oooh, I can feel the power already!

Colin, zat your chim I spotted in the Old Steine this morning? Parked the Audi directly opposite but you probably didnt notice the plate/PH name. I work just round the corner

Hi Nick,

Nope, not me - unless my 450's been nicked that is! I had better wander down to my garage and check on it now....

Spid, where do you want me to start? LOL.
Without repeating other replies/threads, they've had the car best part of 4 weeks now. Car booked in for some maintenance work, starter motor broke the morning it was booked in. Starter motor replaced within 24hrs, they then noticed the car wasnt running well (news to me, but then it is my 1st Cerb) so the service I was putting off til next year was done, still has fuelling problems, traced to a faulty ECU. Warranty company want old ECU repaired by some oik, I want either replacement or at least repaired by a specialits eg Mark Adams....waiting for news from warranty (b'stards) company and Mike@Austec

Bugger, OK, so I have repeated myself, sorry, got carried away in a fit of temper

Colin, hope you found your car, the one I saw was same colour but as it was pis..err, raining heavily I didnt get too much of a look at it as I scurried through the puddles

Yeah, thanks Nick. Mine was safely tucked away where it should have been. This of course means there is (yet) another Chim in the locale, as yet not identified.

Sorry to hear you (as well as Ed) are having drama's with your respective cars over at Austec. Not good. Not good at all. (Should I be worried about mine going in over there next month now!?)

Nick
What have you been quoted to have the ECU repaired by Mark Adams?
How much does Oik want, will he give a warranty on his work?
Bloody warranty companies, mines gone into liquidation, have not needed them yet (touch wood)
Hope it's sorted soon

If 8.45 is the choice of the people, then thats fine by me.The pub choice is also excellent, but I think we should aim to get there no later than 12.30, that should give us about an hour and 45mins at Racing Green.
Colin, if you could book some tables that would be appreciated, 2 bodies and 1 car confirmed.
Havn,t heard from Lemmonie or Mrmop for a while, are you guys & gals still up for this?

Cheers all,

Derek.

P.S. Come on Howard, 8.45?? You can make it. I'll give you an early morning call if you want.

P.P.S. Just had a mental count, if all who have shown interest turn up we'll have 14 cars in the Carfax.

Adam, not had a quote from Mark Adams yet, Mike is going to speak to him tomorrow about an ECU he has repaired and may be able to swap. Didnt get a chance to find out about guarantees from the oik's garage, I was swearing at the warranty company too much at this point (I know it didnt help, but I felt much better for it), the warranty company said they would pay out £300 for the repair, so I am hoping I can do the Mark Adams deal + cash if needed rather than bow to these sl4gs.
PS Nice pony in the profile Adam, my mum shows ponies and horses competitvely (yup, I was forced into it until about 15..years not stones)That your daughter? Looks like she won the championship Does she compete nationally/locally?

Derek, obviously Im waiting on my car (and also on babysitters as both sets of grandparents are in warmer climes at the mo) so it will either be nothing or just me. I will try to let you know ASAP. 14 Tivs in the carfax is going to be fun. If all else fails may just turn up in the Audi to wave you off (and grab a McBacon roll on the way home, unless I can sneak in a trip to The Cabin@ Cowfold)

Bloody hell, just read that post, it was my birthday yesterday and not only am I getting old, I sound like a grumpy old sod! [mutter, mumble]

Thanks, yep thats my daughter Olivia on Master Woods. She had just won best pony club pony at show, just a local Lord Leconfield.
She is just starting to out grow him now so we are looking for a 14.1 ish for cross country/show jumping does your Mum know of any?

She's away at the mo, but drop me a mail thru my profile (Im sure this lot are more interested in horse power than pony power) and remind me what you are after and I'll ask her when she gets back

Happy Birthday for yesterday Nick, from one grumpy old sod to another!

Austec could certainly give you a decent Birthday present if they got your Cerbie back to you - in time for Sunday's jolly out...

That brings back painful memories for me!

However, my warranty company did pay (in the end) for a new ECU. The rep simply couldn't resist my feminine charm...

Or else!

I'm not a "definite", unfortunately there seems to be an ever increasing amount of things to get done during weekends but I'm going to VW the following Sunday all being well...

A nice long drive and good opportunity to listen to my dance/trance/chill out CDs!

Presume you're talking about Brighton? - mine was parked badly outside a solicitors in Brighton last Fri, and is on an R plate, but sounds like there are 2 badly parked TVR's around in Brighton?

Am tempted to join you all on Sun, but likely to be too hung over I'm afraid - hopefully next time.
